In his quest to bring transparency to the race, the Kentucky GOP candidate for governor will answer questions on regular live broadcasts

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (January 13, 2023) — Kentucky Republican gubernatorial candidate Alan Keck hosted his first Facebook Live broadcast of the new year Thursday, answering questions submitted through his website from voters across the state.

Carrying forward a tool that has been effective in communicating with constituents as mayor of Somerset, Keck is hosting live broadcasts regularly on his Facebook page — @KeckforKY — in an effort to bring openness and transparency to the governor’s race.

“I learned early in my candidacy for mayor that voters want a direct connection to their leaders. They want to be heard and want the ability to raise issues and ask questions,” Keck said. “It is the responsibility of any public servant to provide that level of access to constituents, and it is imperative in earning their trust. I look forward to having these conversations with people from across Kentucky and I encourage them to ask questions.”

Keck has positioned himself as the candidate who will take any question, having answered more than 250 (as of Jan. 13) from Kentuckians and the media since he announced his candidacy on Nov. 21.

Kentuckians can submit their questions on Keck’s website, keckforkentucky.com, where they can also read more about the issues he wants to address as governor. Keck is the only candidate in the race with a platform. The Keck Game Plan for Kentucky outlines strategies for improvement in four categories — Economy, Family, Public Safety and Education — with the focus on policies that will help Kentucky grow, get more Kentuckians back to work, build the best education system in America, create a safer Commonwealth, and make Kentucky the most pro-life, pro-family state in the nation.

Keck’s next Facebook Live is scheduled for 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26.
